About
Van Hinte’s lecture will mainly focus on some nominees from the New Material Award 2014, which Het Nieuwe Instituut, the Dutch institute for architecture, design and e-culture, organised together with Stichting DOEN and Het Materiaalfonds.

Presentation
Besides treating examples from the New Material Award 2014, Van Hinte’s lecture will further emphasize on sustainability and design research, including some critical remarks on the ‘circular’ concept that emerged during writing ‘Products That Last’ that he co-wrote with Conny Bakker, Marcel den Hollander and Yvo Zijlstra.
